Your data stays local

Your card metadata, images, settings, and exported files live on your computer (for example, in a local SQLite database plus your local files/folders). We do not have access to your library data.

No automatic cloud sync

There is no automatic upload of your data to any cloud service. You control when and how your data moves.

Update checks are minimal

When you check for updates, a simple request is made to see if a newer version is available. This request includes only basic metadata (app version, OS) — no card data or library information.

Telemetry is minimal and opt-in

CardStride Studio includes optional, opt-in telemetry to help us improve reliability and support your subscription. You can enable or disable telemetry in the app settings at any time.

What we may collect (when opted in): Crash reports (error messages and stack traces), coarse usage metrics (feature usage counts), credit consumption for billing, and basic system info (app version, OS).

What we do not collect: Card images, listing content, library data, or any personal inventory information. We never access your actual cards or listings unless you explicitly send them to us (e.g., in a support request with attached logs).

Third-party integrations

When you connect to third-party services (such as eBay), your interactions with those services are governed by their privacy policies. We facilitate the connection but do not store your third-party credentials — OAuth tokens are stored locally on your device.

If you use AI-assisted features (such as card identification), CardStride Studio may send the card images you select to a third-party AI provider to generate suggestions. We do not sell this data. We do not use your card images to train our own models.

Email collection

We collect your email address when you unlock the download and again on first run (for early-access onboarding and identification).
